The run has relocated to Fox High School campus which is just ½ mile south of Arnold Park on the west side of Jeffco Blvd. Due to recent flooding, the Arnold Park will not be ready for runners on July 4th. But, the Big Bang 5K Run Against Hunger is still on for July 4th morning. Most of the course is flat. There is a short small hill moving from campus to an adjacent street and a gentle incline. Mother nature has thrown us a curve ball, but we will still have a great run for a great cause. Please checkwww.WeFeedtheHungry.org regularly for any updates.
The Fox campus is a quick drive from anywhere in the Metro area, and most of all, proceeds benefit the Arnold Food Pantry, providing food and household necessities to area families and individuals facing poverty and hunger. Arnold Food Pantry relies on donations and fundraising dollars. The pantry has become the largest non-denominational food pantry in the metro area receiving no government funding. Join us for a fun-filled morning starting with a great run, attendance prizes, awards, and some sizzling summer themed raffle baskets. Our great Tub-of –Beer raffle is back by popular demand, as well as special raffles from Bandana’s BBQ, Fireworks City, and a big basket of lottery tickets! Texas Roadhouse will be there race day with peanuts and Andy the Armadillo. And don’t forget to dress for the holiday; you might just win Best in Show!
